18 jokes, all of them clean
Minecraft jokes come from a game with almost no story, which turns out to help. The humour comes from the mechanics everybody has experienced — a creeper ruining a build, an Enderman refusing to be looked at, mining for 3 hours and finding coal.
Why did the villager raise his prices? Inflation. Emeralds aren't what they used to be.
Why can't you argue with a creeper? Every argument just blows up.
How does a Minecraft player flirt? "Are you a diamond? Because I dug forever to find you."
Why did the Enderman cross the road? He didn't — he teleported.
What's the most honest block? Bedrock — it never breaks.
What's a creeper's favorite subject? Hisss-tory.
How do you get a job in Minecraft? You mine your own business.
What did the zombie say to the villager? "Nice to meat you."
Why was the pickaxe so proud? Its work was ground-breaking.
Why do Minecraft players sleep so well? They hit the hay the second it gets dark.
What's a Minecraft player's favorite music genre? Rock.
Why are Minecraft skeletons such bad liars? You can see right through them.
Why don't creepers get invited to parties? They ruin every one they attend — literally.
Why did Steve refuse to fight the dragon? He wanted things to Ender peacefully.
What do you call a cow in Minecraft with no legs? Ground beef. Still square, though.
Why did the creeper cross the road? To get to the other sssssside.
What did the sheep say after shearing? "Wool, that's a load off."
Why don't Endermen like pool parties? Water hurts. Literally.
Shared frustration is the setup
Most fandom jokes need a character. These need an experience. Everybody who has played has had a creeper detonate next to something they spent an hour on, so the joke lands on the memory rather than the reference. That is a sturdier foundation than a plot point, and it is why these still work for somebody who last played in 2015 and has forgotten every biome name.
The audience skews young, and stays
Minecraft came out in 2011 and never really left, so the people who get these range from kids playing today to adults who built something dumb in college. Both groups have the same 6 reference points: creepers, Endermen, diamonds, lava, sheep, the nether. Stick to those 6 and nobody is left out.
The one to actually use
The creeper crossing the road, because it takes the oldest joke structure in the language and changes 1 sound. You already know the answer before it arrives, and the joke is entirely in the hiss. That is a confident move for a 1-liner and it is why this one survives being told to somebody who quit playing 10 years ago. The bedrock one is the cleverest here but it needs you to know what bedrock is.
